You told me a few weeks ago you weren't feeling that funny. Lately, I've not been either. Regardless, your writing is beautiful and your feelings on the fainting situation are relevant.

Each day we send our kids into the world and all we have is hope for them. I read a story the other day by Mary Duncan who has a teenager with a disability, and she writes about it here:

Incidentally, one of the things I've written about recently is that we are all things. Humorists are not just bags of whoopie cushions, hilarity, and self-deprecation. We're full of zest for life and love for our kids.
