Yes! My daughter and I experience almost hyper-focus situation. The rest of the world could fall apart but we're focused on one thing only. We also fidget constantly. Just this morning we discovered she has a huge bald spot on the side of her head where she's nervously pulled out a bunch of hair. She beats herself up and I'm terrified she sees herself as "broken."
Organization is a nightmare for me. I constantly try but constantly fail. It's like life is a constant blur of activity. My brain never stops and I rarely feel at peace. I lose things constantly because my mind is split in several different directions and I sit things down in random places and forget. It drives my wife mad.
I didn't know about the menopause thing, but I do know men and women experience ADHD differently. I also understand it's harder to diagnose in younger girls.
Emotional regulation, hopelessness, flash temper, being overwhelmed by emotion are also things I've experienced, and I recently learned about rejection sensitive dysphoria which hits way too close to home for me. And anxiety is a no-brainer.
Thank you for the links to all the other info. I'm very grateful to have found you. Progress updates forthcoming. I'll be checking in with you, too. :)
