This last paragraph sums up so much of my existence.

Being out of control can feel intolerable. But all that work to pretend that you’re calling the shots gets pretty exhausting. And futile. So now I’m trying instead to sit smack dab inside of it. The pain. The rage. The anxiety. The confusion. The pity. The fear. The hope. Every drop of it. Not seeing escapism as a sustainable option anymore, there really is nothing to do but sit with the unarmed solitude of “I don’t know” and soak in more of what we actually have, which is this moment right now.
