This is such a beautiful story. Who needs fiction, anyway?

My nextdoor neighbor lost his best friend and dog in a house fire in much the same way, on the night of a concert. They found his friend and dog huddled in the bathtub the following morning having died from smoke inhalation. Just knowing of the story is a burden sometimes.
