I’ve always felt under-prepared. Never ready for the kids. At my age, I had become used to how I liked things. How I liked my routine. It soon became clear that it was me who needed to adapt. Every new parent feels the same way. You’re never fully prepped.

I'm still not prepared OR adapted properly and our oldest is 8. It's so easy to focus on all we've lost instead of all the love we've gained. Thanks for pointing this out.
