I read a meme a while back that was about positive attention. It was about men needing positive attention but I believe if applies to anyone.

To paraphrase:

Most people are so starved for positive attention that the slightest compliment is enough to get them interested in you.

This struck me only because of how true it really is. We don't need much to keep us going. A little "good job" now and then or any appreciation is all we need to keep us going.
