I know a few writers that actually do something like this because it's too hard to keep track of everyone you're friends with. We can't possibly read or comment on it all, but the interactions are genuine.

Also, I haven't thought of Cake the same since I first discovered your writing. "Laurel: gaggle of kids, likes potty humor, ruining music, married to a bloke named Joe."
