I can ramble, too.

1. I used to like the night better than the day until the younger child began waking up at this ungodly hour. Now I get up at 5am just to be alone for an hour.

2. This made me think of my own childhood bedroom. My grandfather made me a wooden racecar bed, and I can still feel the air and hear the sound of the window fan blowing over me on the steamy July nights.

3. Time moves in both directions because we're always bringing moments of our past into our future, and our past is framed by what we do in the future. Or something.

4. If you're worried about sipping your cocoa in the Matrix, have no fear. If it tastes good to you, it's real.

5. I'm kinda thinking that no man should want to "handle" you, and I imagine that you can't be tamed or truly domesticated in a traditional sense. We all need to be free to be ourselves even in a relationship, and I think as a society we have forgotten that. We're supposed to check the boxes and play our roles. I say fuchs that.

6. Except that the fences could be turned on and off from the main electrical distribution panel on the other side of the compound. Yours just do what they want. Don't go completely numb because Meeko and company still need you to feel something. Teach him your cat-like reflexes.

7. I hope you got some rest and the weekend doesn't seem too long. I'm hoping for a tragedy-free weekend, as well. We're having a small family 5th birthday party for Wyatt tomorrow, so he'll be happy to see his cousins and eat mint chocolate chip ice cream. I'll be fighting my alcohol demons.
